Christmas Is Coming 2019!

Our Christmas Concert in 2019 was a week earlier than usual on the 6th December , but this didn’t matter! It all went exceedingly well, with fabulous music and entertainment- this year Loreto Preparatory School, Altrincham, joined us and sang their hearts out to an audience which included a lot of very proud parents and grandparents!

The choir sang a number of Christmas Carols and music which as usual sounded fantastic and Corus Brass Ensemble once again were there to entertain us! Along with a mind blowing duet By Christopher Ellis and and Elin Rees, the whole evening left us all feeling without doubt more than a step nearer to Christmas and full of the Festive spirit.

Come and sing day 2019 Success and Cheque donation to the Hospice.

In September we held our always popular Come and sing day, which was a great day spent learning Bob Chilcott’s “A Little Jazz Mass” and Encores for Choirs with other pieces. It was challenging and enjoyable and we performed it all at the end.

Also, on the Day, we were very pleased to present a cheque to Professor Jackie Oldham, Chair of Trustees at the Hospice,  for a sum of £15,600 which was the sum of our year’s fundraising.

Each Year, due to our fundraising, we hand over a cheque to  St Ann’s Hospice. This Year, in June  2016, was an amazing £21,510.66 !
